Creatine is a natural substance that is required for all muscular contractions. Creatine is synthesized by the body from the amino acids Glycine, Arginine and Methionine. About 95% of all Creatine is stored in skeletal muscle where it is needed the most. When this happens, Creatine Phosphate donates its phosphate group to ADP, and with the help of another enzyme converts ADP back to ATP. This process of speeding up ATP regeneration is called the Creatine shuttle. Creatine also offers other benefits including cell volumization and hydration.
